Over the past five years, the agro-industrial complex of the Karaganda region has received more than 104 billion tenge through the Karaganda branch of the Agrarian Credit Corporation. More than a third of this amount — 41.25 billion tenge — was allocated last year and the first six months of 2026, covering 600 local agricultural producers, reports infohub.kz.
In the first half of 2026, funds reached the fields ahead of schedule: 175 farms in the region received 15.48 billion tenge before the start of mass fieldwork. In agribusiness, this pace is crucial. Affordable loans at 5% per annum allowed farmers to stock up on seeds, diesel fuel, and spare parts well before equipment hit the fields. For comparison, over the entire last year, the branch issued 25.78 billion tenge to farmers.
In parallel, in 2026, the focus shifted to processing and livestock. Under the program supporting the food processing industry, more than 4 billion tenge were allocated to over 10 food production enterprises in the region. Among them are brands familiar to every resident: "NÄTİJE SÜT FABRİKASY", "Aknar PF", "APK Volynsky", and "Damir AA". Processing giants, whose capacities were not fully utilized due to a lack of working capital, increased their output to 80-100%. As a result, factories received raw materials, and farmers got guaranteed sales.
How these schemes work on the ground is evident in the farms of the Osakarovka district. The grain farm "Bataeva" LLP, with its own elevator complex and vehicle fleet, has been gradually increasing its sown areas thanks to preferential financing under the "Keñ Dala-2" program and new technologies. The neighboring farm "Zhasulan", which runs a dairy farm and provides permanent employment to 14 villagers, has been systematically borrowing from the ACC: in 2024, the farm joined the "Agribusiness" program, and in 2026, it joined the "Keñ Dala" program to ensure timely spring sowing.
