A ceremony was held in the Karaganda region to honor a young hero who saved a drowning child. 13-year-old Nuraly Alkhan was awarded a departmental medal for his courage and decisive actions, reports infohub.kz.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the event took place at the Department of Emergency Situations of the Karaganda region. Nuraly attended the ceremony with his family.
By order of the Minister of Emergency Situations, Lieutenant General Chingis Arinov, Nuraly Alkhan was awarded the departmental medal "For Saving the Drowning" for rescuing a person from water.
The head of the regional emergency department, Major General Margulan Amanbayev, personally thanked the teenager for his bravery, noting that his act deserves sincere respect and is a worthy example for his peers. Additionally, he was presented with a memorable gift on behalf of the department.
The ministry also expressed gratitude to the hero for his courage, determination, and readiness to help in a difficult moment.
Earlier it was reported that the 13-year-old resident of Karaganda saved a 4-year-old child from drowning. At that time, the head of the regional police department, Negmet Ismagulov, invited the young hero to his office and presented him with a memorable gift and a letter of gratitude.
