Meteorologists have presented a consultative weather forecast for September in Kazakhstan. According to their data, 30-degree heat will return to the regions, reports infohub.kz.
According to the forecast, the beginning of September is expected to be summer-like hot in the western and southern regions of the country. In the northern, central, and eastern regions, more autumnal weather is predicted: precipitation is expected, with a possible transition from rain to snow accompanied by gusty winds.
Already from the middle of the first ten-day period, most of the republic will see dry weather, with a significant rise in temperatures. In the west, northwest, and southwest, daytime temperatures will reach +25...+35°C. In the north, northwest (Kostanay region), center, and east, nighttime temperatures will range from 0 to +8°C, with possible frosts on the soil surface of 1-3°C, and daytime temperatures from +10...+18°C to +22...+30°C. In the south, nighttime temperatures will be +13...+20°C, daytime +25...+35°C. In the southeast, nighttime temperatures are expected to be +10...+18°C, with daytime highs rising from +20...+28°C to +25...+33°C.
In the second half of the first ten-day period, in the west and northwest, and then across the rest of the country, an incoming northwest cyclone will bring unstable weather with precipitation and stronger winds, leading to a drop in heat.
During the second and third ten-day periods of September, temperature fluctuations are expected, ranging from positive values down to frosts. In the western and northwestern regions, nighttime temperatures will be 0 to +5°C, with possible frosts on the soil surface down to 3°C, and daytime temperatures from +27...+35°C down to +12...+22°C. In the north, center, and east, nighttime temperatures will be 0 to +5°C, with frosts on the soil surface down to 3°C, and daytime temperatures from +20...+30°C down to +8...+17°C. In the southern half of Kazakhstan, nighttime temperatures will be +2 to +10°C, with frosts in mountainous areas of 1-6°C, and daytime temperatures from +25...+33°C down to +15...+22°C.
Overall, in September, the average air temperature across most of the country is expected to be near the climatic norm. However, in the West Kazakhstan region, and the western parts of Atyrau and Mangystau regions, temperatures are forecast to be 1° above the norm. Precipitation amounts are generally expected within the norm. More precipitation than usual is forecast for the extreme west, northwest, and northeastern parts of the country, while less than normal is expected mainly in the southern and southwestern regions.
