Betty Bromage, a 97-year-old British woman, has once again confirmed her status as the oldest female wing walker by performing the stunt for the sixth time, breaking her own Guinness World Record, reports infohub.kz.

Bromage, from Cheltenham, first tried wing walking at the age of 87. Last August, she suffered a stroke that affected her speech, but that did not stop the brave pensioner. With her flight, she aimed to raise charitable funds for the stroke unit at Cheltenham General Hospital, whose doctors helped her during her illness. Bromage previously worked as a nurse.

Imogen Sims, a representative of the Cheltenham and Gloucester Hospitals Charity, thanked Bromage for her courage and support. According to Sims, the donations will go towards purchasing equipment for patients and staff. The record holder herself admitted that the only difficulty for her is getting onto the wing due to her short stature, but the flight itself brings her immense joy and saves her from boredom.
