Former KeshYOU group member Aidana Medenova has announced that she will not take part in the second anniversary concert marking the group's 20th anniversary, sparking a strong reaction from fans, according to infohub.kz.
In her Instagram Stories, the singer briefly responded to followers' questions, saying she would not participate in the capital's show but did not explain why. Notably, the announcement came on the first day of ticket sales for the concert.
Many fans were deeply upset by the news, as Medenova is considered part of the group's "golden lineup" along with Zhanar Dugalova and Kamshad Zholdybayeva.
Some fans criticized the timing of the announcement, saying it would have been better to inform them earlier. Others speculated that Medenova's statement might be part of a promotional campaign to draw extra attention to the show.
Meanwhile, the concert organizer and group's producer, Bayan Alaguzova, boasted that almost all tickets for the show in Astana have already been sold. "I assure you that the show will be of the highest level. While many were upset that Moldir won't be there, no one even noticed her absence at the concert. So let's trust our professionalism, friends," Alaguzova wrote on Threads.
Additionally, the producer asked not to undervalue the work of other talented and bright performers who will take part in the show and hinted that the audience can expect surprises.
Recall that in April, a public scandal erupted around the KeshYOU anniversary concert. At that time, Moldir Auelbekova announced she would not participate, after which producer Bayan Alaguzova accused the former member of ingratitude.
Earlier, Kursiv LifeStyle reported that the show in the capital, dedicated to the group's 20th anniversary, will take place on September 19 at the Barys Arena.
