Starting at 4:00 on November 6, 2026, passenger check-in for Air Astana domestic flights departing from Almaty will again be handled at Terminal T-1 of Almaty International Airport. The airline announced the change to passengers, infohub.kz reports.
"We are pleased to resume serving passengers in the renovated Terminal T-1 after its large-scale reconstruction. Modern infrastructure, improved services and convenient navigation will make time at the airport more comfortable and help passengers get through pre-flight procedures faster," said Alexander Neboga, Air Astana's Vice President for Ground Handling.
According to the announcement, five automated checkpoints for verifying passengers and boarding documents have been installed at the airport to speed up pre-flight procedures.
As a result, from November 6 Air Astana domestic flights will check in at Terminal T-1, while international flights will check in at Terminal T-2.
"Air Astana recommends that passengers arrive at the airport in advance to allow enough time to complete all pre-flight formalities," the statement said.
