Kazakhstan's national carrier Air Astana has opened a new route linking the country's capital with Bangkok. Flights on the Astana–Bangkok–Astana route will begin on December 11, 2026, and will operate twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays, according to infohub.kz.
The service will be operated by an Airbus A321LR. The flight from Astana to Bangkok will take 7 hours 50 minutes, with the return leg lasting 8 hours 25 minutes.
Round-trip economy fares start at 244,616 tenge, while business-class tickets begin at 969,496 tenge.
According to the Ministry of Transport, the launch of the new route will bring the total number of weekly flights between Kazakhstan and Thailand to 20 across four routes.
Airlines currently operate the following services: Almaty–Phuket — seven flights a week (Air Astana); Almaty–Bangkok — nine flights a week (six operated by Air Astana and three by Thai AirAsia X); Shymkent–Bangkok — two flights a week (SCAT).
Tickets for the new route are already available on the Air Astana website and app, as well as through accredited travel agencies.
