Air Astana has announced it will resume regular flights from Kazakhstan to Dubai, with service from Almaty starting on October 1, 2026, and from Astana on October 2, gradually increasing flight frequency over the course of the month, according to infohub.kz.
According to NUR.KZ, citing the carrier's press service, the Almaty–Dubai–Almaty route will begin with four flights a week. The Astana–Dubai–Astana route will resume with three flights a week.
"Flight frequency in October will be ramped up gradually: Almaty–Dubai–Almaty starting with 4 flights, increasing to 12 flights a week by the end of the month. Astana–Dubai–Astana starting with 3 flights, increasing to 10 flights a week by the end of the month," Air Astana said in a statement.
The airline also warned of possible schedule changes. "The airline is monitoring developments in the region and may adjust its flight schedule depending on the situation in the Middle East, and will inform passengers in the event of further changes," Air Astana added.
Flights had previously been reported as suspended until September 30. Before that, Air Astana decided to turn back a plane that had already departed for Dubai from Astana, and also cancelled a flight from Almaty amid the escalation of the conflict in the Middle East.
Air Astana later suspended air service with the United Arab Emirates. In particular, flights scheduled for July 13 and 14 were cancelled.
