Air Astana is suspending flights to Dubai from July 21 to August 31 due to the deteriorating situation in the Strait of Hormuz and the region, reports infohub.kz.
The airline said the decision was made in light of the ongoing deterioration of the situation in the Strait of Hormuz and the wider region. "Flights will operate as scheduled until July 21 to facilitate passenger departure," the carrier said in a statement.
Passengers have several options: they can request a full refund at the point of purchase, reschedule their trip to a later date for free, or rebook to another international destination served by Air Astana.
For more information and assistance, the airline recommends contacting its 24-hour booking and information center, as well as using its hotline, WhatsApp, or online chat on the official website.
Earlier, Air Astana had already issued a statement regarding its Dubai flights, and also returned a plane that had departed from Astana and canceled a flight from Almaty due to the escalation of the conflict in the Middle East. Later, the company suspended air service with the United Arab Emirates, canceling flights on July 13 and 14.
