Air Astana has opened ticket sales for direct flights from Almaty and Astana to Salalah, a resort city in southern Oman. Flights from Almaty to Salalah will begin operating on October 23, departing on Fridays: the first flight is scheduled to leave at 10:05 and arrive at 15:15 local time. From October 30, the schedule will change — the aircraft will depart Almaty at 07:30 and arrive in Salalah at 12:40, according to infohub.kz.
Direct flights from Astana will launch on October 24. They will operate on Saturdays: departure from the Kazakh capital is scheduled for 08:35, with arrival in Salalah at 14:40.
Return flights from Salalah to Almaty will depart on Fridays at 16:25 until October 30, and then at 13:50. Flights to Astana will depart on Saturdays at 16:00.
The flights will be operated with Airbus A320 aircraft. Kazakh citizens can enter Oman visa-free for stays of up to 30 days.
The minimum round-trip fare in economy class on the Almaty — Salalah — Almaty route starts at 239,486 tenge. In business class, the price starts at 621,849 tenge.
A round trip from Astana will cost at least 266,330 tenge in economy class and from 612,917 tenge in business class.
