An Air India flight traveling from Frankfurt, Germany, to Delhi, India, made an emergency landing at Jaipur airport after signaling a possible hijacking, according to infohub.kz.

NUR.KZ, citing The Times of India, reports that the aircraft was diverted to Jaipur after an alarm was triggered by a suspected hijacking threat.

According to preliminary information, the pilot activated Squawk 7500 — an internationally recognized code indicating a hijacking or unlawful interference with an aircraft. This occurred while the plane was in the area over Mumbai.

The aircraft, AI-2030, landed safely and was immediately escorted to a designated isolation zone, in strict accordance with standard operating procedures for aviation security emergencies.

The Tribune India writes that the plane was diverted to Jaipur reportedly due to a bomb threat. Shiv Dayal, Assistant Commissioner of Police for the Malviya Nagar district, said the airport administration notified police about the emergency landing of the Frankfurt–Delhi flight, caused by a "bomb threat."

Information about the number of passengers on board is not yet known, and the airline has made no statement.
