Akbayan Mukangaliyeva, who has been discharged from a mental health center, is visiting her children but still does not know that her ex-husband Sultan Sarsemaliyev killed her relatives, infohub.kz reports.
After discharge, the woman is living with a relative and remains under constant supervision by her loved ones. She continues her recovery and attends a rehabilitation center.
One important step has been meetings with her children: Akbayan visits them and spends time with them. According to relatives, this has a positive effect on her emotional state.
Relatives are not yet rushing to tell her about the deaths of her loved ones. They fear the heavy news could sharply worsen her condition and want to wait until she is ready to accept it.
Recall that in January of this year, it became known that a family of four had disappeared in Atyrau Region — a man, his wife and their two adult children. The bodies of the elderly couple were found first, and then the bodies of their children were also discovered.
Former son-in-law Sultan Sarsemaliyev was suspected of the murder. On July 14, the man was sentenced to life imprisonment.
In early September, it was reported that Akbayan Mukangaliyeva, the daughter and sister of the deceased family members and ex-wife of the convicted Sultan Sarsemaliyev, had left the psychiatric center.
