In the seventh round of the Russian Premier League (RPL) season 2026/27, Rubin Kazan and Akhmat Grozny played out a 1:1 draw. The match took place at the Ak Bars Arena stadium in Kazan, reports infohub.kz.
The hosts opened the scoring in the 26th minute: French forward Jacques-Julien Siv converted a penalty. After the break, the visitors restored parity: in the 56th minute, Angolan midfielder Egas Cacintura found the net.
Kazakhstan national team forward Maksim Samorodov came on as a substitute in the 81st minute. During that time, he made 11 touches of the ball and attempted five passes, two of which were accurate. Another forward of the national team, Galymzhan Kenzhebek, spent the entire match on the bench.
Akhmat, coached by former Kazakhstan national team head coach Stanislav Cherchesov, still have only one win in the RPL. With seven points, the Grozny club occupy 12th place in the standings. Rubin, with ten points, round out the top eight.
