Police in the Akmola Region encountered an unusual case: two trucks were stopped on a highway, matching in color, make, and even state license plates. This was reported by infohub.kz.

According to the press service of the regional police department, the incident occurred on September 15 at the 29th kilometer of the Astana — Karaganda — Almaty highway. During patrol, officers noticed two Shacman trucks of the same color and model. However, the most surprising part was that both vehicles had identical state license plates.

Zhengeldi Alibekov, commander of the 1st platoon of the patrol police company of the Akmola Region Police Department, said he had never encountered such a case before.

When checking the first vehicle, no violations were found, but the second one raised serious issues. It turned out that the state license plate did not match the vehicle's VIN code. Moreover, the vehicle had not been registered at all.

The driver turned out to be a resident of Astana. He explained that the vehicle did not belong to him and that he was simply working as a driver. During the inspection, it was discovered that a fake state license plate had been installed on the unregistered vehicle, after which it continued to be driven.

A court hearing was held on the matter. The driver was sentenced to three days of administrative arrest and deprived of the right to drive vehicles for one year. An administrative case was also opened against the vehicle's owner for installing a fake state license plate.
