The incident occurred in one of the city's bars, where a quarrel broke out between the accused and another patron, escalating into gunfire. According to the press service of the supervisory body, the accused fired at the victim, causing bodily harm. The case is qualified under Part 3 of Article 293 of the Criminal Code of Kazakhstan, which provides for a prison sentence of five to seven years. The final decision on guilt and punishment will be made by the court, the prosecutor's office reminds, citing the presumption of innocence.
