A man who threatened to rape a woman on the city embankment in Aktau has been sentenced. The incident occurred on August 2, when an aggressive local attacked a passerby, reports infohub.kz.

According to the press service of the Specialized Court for Administrative Offenses in Aktau, the case was heard today. Videos published online show the man holding a woman in a white jacket who is trying to break free. Bystanders intervened, but in a second video, the attacker continues to threaten, saying: "I will rape you."

During the court hearing, the offender fully admitted his guilt. As noted in court, his guilt is confirmed by a police officer's report, an administrative offense protocol, medical examination report No. 9649, and video footage from the scene.

The man's actions were classified under Part 2 of Article 434 of the Administrative Code of Kazakhstan (petty hooliganism), which provides for community service from 60 to 100 hours or administrative arrest from 15 to 30 days. The court imposed the maximum penalty: 30 days of arrest. The ruling has not yet entered into legal force.
