A dispute in Aktau over additional expenses for the treatment of minor children has ended in a settlement: the father has undertaken to pay a fixed monthly sum for each child, the website infohub.kz reports.
According to the official Telegram channel of the courts of the Mangystau Region, a specialized inter-district court for cases involving minors heard a civil case brought by a woman against a man seeking alimony for additional expenses related to the treatment of their minor children.
The court proceedings established that the parties have two minor children, born in 2020 and 2023, who live with their mother and require constant treatment and rehabilitation. The children attend sessions with a speech pathologist and a psychologist, receive speech therapy massage, and take part in therapeutic and adaptive physical education.
Because of the children's need for constant treatment and rehabilitation, the mother turned to the court seeking compensation for the additional expenses related to their treatment.
During conciliation proceedings, the parties reached a mutual agreement and asked the court in writing to approve the settlement they had concluded.
Under Article 144 of the Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Marriage (Matrimony) and Family, parents are obliged to contribute to additional expenses for the maintenance and treatment of minor children in need of assistance.
By a court ruling dated August 14, 2026, the settlement concluded between the parties was approved.
Under the terms of the settlement, the defendant undertook to pay additional expenses related to the children's treatment in a fixed sum — 35 monthly calculation indices (151,375 tenge in 2026) per child each month, for a total of 302,750 tenge, until they reach adulthood.
The court ruling has entered into force.
