A court in Aktau has held a local resident accountable for littering a public area. The incident occurred in August 2026, when the man discarded firework remnants near building No. 99 in the 17th microdistrict, reports infohub.kz.
According to the official Telegram channel of the Mangistau regional courts, the case was reviewed under Part 1 of Article 434-2 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Citizen N. was found guilty of polluting public places, including disposing of municipal waste in an unauthorized location.
During the court hearing, N. admitted his guilt and stated that he would not commit such violations in the future, asking the court not to impose a harsh penalty. The offender's guilt was fully proven by the administrative offense protocol, the interrogation protocol, and a video recording attached to the case file.
Under Part 1 of Article 434-2 of the Administrative Code, this offense carries a fine of ten monthly calculation indices or community service for up to forty hours. Considering the full admission of guilt, lack of permanent employment, and first-time offense, the court imposed an administrative fine in a reduced amount of 30,275 tenge.
The court decision has not yet entered into legal force.
