A teacher at a school in Aktau has been fired after a video of a conflict between the teacher and a school cleaner spread on social media, the website infohub.kz reports.
Residents of the city are actively discussing footage from a surveillance camera at one of the schools. The video shows a teacher getting into a conflict with a cleaner and kicking a bucket of water, which then spills around.
According to the KTK television channel, the teacher is the wife of a lyceum principal, and the cleaner had previously worked as her house assistant. The teacher's behavior outraged Aktau residents.
After the incident, the Mangystau Region education department set up a special commission. The teacher of elective subjects said the scandal arose because the cleaner had allegedly been spreading rumors about her. The teacher was fired for inappropriate behavior.
"At present, by decision of the commission, the teacher has been reprimanded and dismissed from her job. In addition, the police department is also conducting its own investigation, and the results will be reported additionally," said Aibarshyn Utesbayeva, head of the Aktau education department.
