Entry and exit for drivers in Aktau were temporarily restricted after a road incident involving the transport of oversized cargo, reports infohub.kz.
According to the Aktau akimat's Instagram account, the road incident occurred near the 17th post — KhGMZ. Today at 13:14, a truck struck structural elements of the railway track. As a result, some elements of the structure were damaged. No one was injured.
"In this regard, to ensure road safety, vehicle traffic on this section of the road has been temporarily suspended. When entering Aktau, it is recommended to use the route through the village of Batyr toward Kuryk. When leaving the city, it is recommended to use the route through the settlements of Mangyshlak and Kyzyltobe," drivers were warned.
It is noted that work is currently underway at the site to eliminate the consequences of the incident and restore the damaged elements. After a technical inspection of the structure and ensuring traffic safety, the issue of resuming traffic will be considered.
"We ask road users to understand the temporary restrictions, use alternative routes, and strictly comply with road safety requirements," the akimat concluded.
