A woman from Aktau is set to appear in court after using obscene language towards another user during a TikTok live stream, reports infohub.kz.
The 44-year-old local resident has been held administratively liable for using profanity during a live broadcast on the social network TikTok. The incident occurred on July 12, when the woman made offensive remarks towards another user during the stream.
Officers from the Mangistau Regional Police Department discovered the recording of the stream during social media monitoring. According to law enforcement, such actions violate public order. The identity of the video's author was established during the investigation.
An administrative protocol has been drawn up against the Aktau resident under Article 434 of the Administrative Code of Kazakhstan, "Petty Hooliganism." The case materials have been sent to the specialized administrative court, which will make a procedural decision.
The police reminded that publishing illegal content on the internet, including during live streams, does not exempt users from responsibility.
Earlier in Kazakhstan, nine streamers were held accountable for staging a kidnapping, fighting for donations, and using obscene language. Also, for similar behavior on social media, residents of Zhambyl, Turkestan, Almaty, Aktobe regions, and Semey were punished.
