The owner and manager of a restaurant in the town of Kandyagash in the Mugalzhar district of the Aktobe region, where mass food poisoning occurred, have been amnestied, the website infohub.kz reports.
It was previously reported that in June, 102 patients were hospitalized with symptoms of intestinal infection at the Mugalzhar district hospital and the regional clinical infectious diseases hospital after visiting a restaurant in Kandyagash.
At that time, police opened a criminal case on charges of violating sanitary rules or hygiene standards (Article 304 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan).
Later it became known that the number of hospitalized people after visiting the restaurant in Kandyagash had increased. The establishment was closed.
Subsequently, sanitary doctors completed an investigation into the mass poisoning at the restaurant in Kandyagash. The inspection revealed staphylococcus, E. coli, and a number of violations. The results were handed over to law enforcement agencies.
Today it became known that the owner and head of the restaurant where the mass food poisoning occurred have been amnestied.
"During the criminal proceedings, the restaurant's management and the individual entrepreneur admitted guilt in committing the incriminated act. However, the criminal proceedings were terminated due to the application of an amnesty act," the press service of the Aktobe Region Police Department told a NUR.KZ correspondent.
