Police officers in Aktobe helped a woman quickly get her three-month-old baby to hospital after the infant's condition worsened, the website infohub.kz reports.
According to a post on the Instagram account of the Aktobe Region Police Department, the incident occurred on October 29, when officers on duty happened to be in the right place at the right time.
"At the intersection of Sänkibai Batyr Avenue and Gaziza Zhubanova Street, a taxi service representative approached the police officers. He said a woman was in the car with a three-month-old baby who had fallen ill. Because of a traffic jam, they could not reach a medical facility in time. After assessing the situation, Police Lieutenant Darkhan Zhumabai and Senior Police Lieutenant Nurkhat Sultan immediately decided to take the mother and child to hospital themselves," the police said.
The woman and her baby were taken to a children's hospital as quickly as possible, where the child received the necessary medical care.
The Police Department reminds the public that law enforcement officers are always ready to help citizens. This is especially important in situations that require an immediate response.
