Kazakh football club Aktobe has officially confirmed the signing of English winger Oluwaseyi Babajide, better known as Sheyi Ojo. The 29-year-old joined the team as a free agent, reports infohub.kz.

Financial details of the deal have not been disclosed, but according to authoritative sources, the player's transfer value is estimated at 600,000 euros. In an official club statement, it was said: "We wish Ojo great success together! Welcome to the red-and-white family."

Sheyi Ojo began his career at the academy of English club MK Dons, from where he moved to Liverpool's system. He made eight appearances for the Merseyside club's first team. The winger later played for English clubs such as Wigan, Wolverhampton, Fulham, and Millwall, as well as French club Reims, Scottish club Rangers from Glasgow, and Welsh club Cardiff City.

Ojo's last stint was with Slovenian club Maribor, where he played 61 matches, scored four goals, and provided seven assists. The footballer also has a FIFA U-20 World Cup win with the England national team to his name.
