Aktobe Region has launched the construction of another large-scale facility — a universal sports complex. It is being built in the emerging social and business center of the city, Altyn Orda, reports infohub.kz.
The new arena will host major competitions, training sessions, and mass events. Akim of the region Ashat Shakharov inspected the progress of preparatory work at the site.
The project envisages the creation of a modern sports space where both professional athletes and amateur fitness enthusiasts can train. The complex will include a central sports arena with 5,000 seats, a 50-meter swimming pool, and halls for artistic and rhythmic gymnastics, basketball, and volleyball. A gym and rooms for yoga and Pilates are also planned.
The total area of the building will exceed 31,000 m². The complex will be located on a territory of 6.1 hectares. It will provide conditions for holding competitions of various levels, as well as for regular training in several sports.
"On the instructions of the head of state, work is underway in the country to develop sports infrastructure and create conditions for physical education and sports. The construction of such facilities will attract more people to an active lifestyle, support professional athletes, and allow competitions of various levels to be held. It is important that the complex be built with quality and on schedule," noted Ashat Shakharov.
The site has already completed fencing, topsoil removal, and excavation of the foundation pit. Specialists are now conducting geodetic work and preparing reinforcement for the foundation slab.
