New details have emerged in the tragedy at the wedding palace in Aktobe: the 26-year-old woman killed was a mother of four, according to the KTK television channel, infohub.kz reports.
Two of the four children were fathered by the man now suspected of the crime, the channel reported. Regional police said the suspect is the woman's former live-in partner, with whom she had been in a relationship for about three years.
Investigators preliminarily established that the conflict arose over the issue of relinquishing parental rights. The man was detained at the scene and is currently being held in a detention facility.
After the woman's death, two of the children were temporarily placed in a children's home. No official information has yet been released on the fate of the other two.
"Due to family circumstances, two minor children were placed in the 'Umit' children's home. The situation is under the control of the regional department for the protection of children's rights and the competent authorities," said Amangeldy Konakbayev, head of the Aktobe Region department for the protection of children's rights.
Recall that on November 3 it became known that the young woman had been killed at the wedding palace in Aktobe. Police said a suspect was identified and detained on the hot trail and placed in a temporary detention facility. A criminal case has been opened. Police later said the suspect was the victim's former live-in partner.
