In the village of Zhabasak in the Aktobe Region, a rural club renovated three years ago has developed cracks, and now local residents are demanding to know where the budget funds went, reports infohub.kz.

According to the KTK television channel, the building, which houses a library and children's clubs, is used by schoolchildren. Villagers complain that the walls have cracked, doors do not close properly, and some sections of the ceiling are causing concern — they say everything could collapse at any moment.

More than 62 million tenge was spent on the major renovation of the building. Now residents of Zhabasak are asking: where did the money go and how well did the contractor perform the work? People are demanding an investigation into the situation and that those responsible be held accountable.

However, officials claim that the warranty period has already expired, and now they themselves are preparing for another renovation.

"There are no grounds to consider the rural club in Zhabasak unsafe. Currently, the rural club is operating normally. A routine repair is planned," says Azamat Satbekov, director of the House of Culture of the Aitekebi District.
