The trial of radio broadcaster Alan Jones on indecent assault charges entered its second day at the Downing Centre Local Court in Sydney, as reported by infohub.kz.
On Monday, a former schoolboy athlete told the court that Jones, now 85, allegedly kissed him and touched his genitals when he was a teenager, but he did not tell anyone because he feared losing Jones's financial support.
The complainant, known as "J", is expected to continue giving evidence via video link on Tuesday. He is the first of six complainants in the case, and Jones faces 22 charges.
The trial is being presided over by Judge Glenn Walsh and is expected to run for four months, with 76 witnesses to be heard.
Jones has denied all allegations, saying they are baseless or distorted. His defence barrister, Gabrielle Bashir SC, argued on Monday that the alleged victims may have been encouraged to come forward by media rivals, questioning their reliability and credibility.
As Jones entered the courtroom, he was surrounded by a tight press pack, but inside he is simply "the defendant".
