Kazakhstan's top male singles player Alexander Bublik advanced to the quarterfinals of the ATP 250 tournament in Kitzbühel, Austria, defeating Argentina's Facundo Díaz Acosta 6:3, 7:5, reports infohub.kz.
The world No. 11 and top seed faced the 108th-ranked Argentine in the second round. The match lasted two sets and ended with Bublik's victory with a final score of 6:3, 7:5.
The players spent 1 hour 20 minutes on court. During that time, Bublik served eight aces, committed one double fault, and converted two of seven break points.
In the quarterfinals, Bublik will face the winner of the match between Slovakia's Alex Molčan and Germany's Daniel Altmaier.
