People's Artist of the USSR Alla Pugacheva has hinted at a possible return to the stage. The singer is ready to perform songs and hold creative evenings, but feels the time is not yet right, reports infohub.kz.
The 77-year-old artist told journalists at the Laima Rendezvous Jūrmala 2026 festival, where she appeared alongside Maxim Galkin. The conversation was recorded by Latvian multimedia project LSM4. 'My God. In principle, I am ready for singing, and for storytelling, and for everything. But I don't yet see such a state of soul and time. As soon as I feel it, I will go out. Even at 90 I can. That would be good,' Pugacheva is quoted as saying.
In a conversation with Ukrainian journalists, the singer also stated she is ready to come to Kyiv if invited. This was reported by UNIAN. 'You know that we support you... Let's do it quickly. Invite me, and we'll sing together. Only under a peaceful sky, please,' the artist said.
Pugacheva also explained why she appeared in public with a cane. She suffered serious injuries after a fall and was almost immobile for four months, breaking her leg and hip joint. 'This is not an image. I didn't tell anyone anything. The thing is, I was immobilized for four months. Because I fell. In short, I broke my leg and hip joint. And honestly, I didn't think I would ever get up. I had panic attacks, it was terrible,' Pugacheva said.
The singer added that her recovery is ongoing. Doctors warned her she could remain immobilized for up to six months, but she began overcoming pain and gradually returning to normal life. Speaking about life outside Russia, Pugacheva emphasized that her family remains her main source of support: 'I have everything I need. In Russia, here, anywhere. Because we are together. Family. Where family is, there is everything, you understand? When everything is good in the family, then in any country, in any financial or moral situation, you always find strength.'
