Almaty continues to upgrade medical infrastructure in the Nauryzbai district. A new family medicine ambulatory clinic is being built in the Shugyla microdistrict, and the City Clinical Hospital No. 7 is undergoing reconstruction, reports infohub.kz.
The new clinic in Shugyla is designed for 200 visits per shift. The microdistrict's population is growing rapidly due to mass construction, with young families and migrants from other regions moving in. Once construction is complete, residents will be able to receive medical care closer to home.
The City Clinical Hospital No. 7, located in Kalkaman, is undergoing comprehensive modernization. Major repairs are being carried out in the polyclinic building. The first stage of the hospital's reconstruction has also begun: 6 of the 11 pavilions are being renovated. The project includes the reconstruction of individual departments, modernization of engineering systems, and landscaping.
During the renovation, the hospital continues to provide medical care to patients as usual, according to the Ministry of Health.
Earlier, Kursiv reported that Almaty plans to create a modern oncology center with robotic surgery. In addition, since August 3, innovations have come into effect in polyclinics that simplify appointments with certain specialists.
