On July 18, six cities in Kazakhstan are expected to experience unfavorable meteorological conditions (UMC) that contribute to the accumulation of pollutants in the surface layer of the atmosphere, reports infohub.kz.
According to Kazhydromet, during the day adverse conditions are forecast for Almaty. At night, the unfavorable weather will cover Astana, Petropavlovsk, Karaganda, Zhezkazgan and Temirtau.
Unfavorable meteorological conditions are a combination of weather factors that worsen the dispersion of harmful impurities in the air. During such periods, residents, especially those with respiratory diseases, are advised to reduce time spent outdoors and follow official announcements from the authorized services.
