Residents of Microdistrict No. 1 in Almaty's Auezov district have complained about the aftermath of water network reconstruction, saying their courtyards have been covered in dust for two months, according to a post by @ewgechka on Threads cited by infohub.kz.
"Two months of wading through dust. Everything was abandoned — not cleaned up, not swept, not backfilled, not asphalted! Please take action," the author wrote.
Almaty Su said reconstruction of the courtyard water supply networks began on August 10, 2026, with ACM Construction LLP as the contractor.
"Construction and installation work began on August 10, 2026. The main pipeline has now been laid in full (100%). Asphalt restoration with a three-layer surface is being carried out in stages on individual sections. Work on laying subscriber water supply networks is ongoing. The work is scheduled for completion by December 31, 2026. The preliminary completion date for construction and installation work is November 20, 2026," the company said.
