A car burst into flames in the middle of a street in Almaty. The fire was extinguished with the help of a water truck, according to the Almaty Police Department (infohub.kz).
According to the Almaty Police Department, SOBR officers en route to their duty station noticed a car engulfed in flames. They immediately stopped, blocked traffic on the dangerous stretch, ensured the safety of bystanders, and began extinguishing the fire. However, a standard fire extinguisher was insufficient as the flames rapidly intensified. The officers then quickly flagged down a passing water truck and used its water supply to put out the blaze.
The police department noted that thanks to the decisive, competent, and coordinated actions of the officers, the fire was extinguished in the shortest possible time. No one was injured, and crucially, the spread of the fire and potential severe consequences were prevented.
