In the Auezov district of Almaty, the renovation of courtyards and public spaces continues under the "People's Participation Budget" program. This year, 29 projects proposed by residents themselves are being implemented, reports infohub.kz.
Some of the completed facilities are located at Zhandosov Street, 182a, and Aftsinao Street, 4. In the courtyard on Zhandosov Street, new lighting poles with LED lamps, additional lighting under a canopy, a video surveillance system, and fencing have been installed. New power supply lines have also been laid.
The children's playground has been completely renovated with safe tartan surfacing. It now features play complexes, swings, a slide, a trampoline, a gazebo, and other elements. For sports, a workout zone, an outdoor exercise equipment area, a table tennis table, and a canopy have been set up. A pergola has been installed for family recreation.
"The courtyard has changed beyond recognition. Now there is a modern and safe playground for children, good lighting, and a place for sports. It's very nice to see that our wishes were heard and brought to life. Thank you for such work!" shared Temirlan, a resident of a nearby building.
Another courtyard was renovated on Aftsinao Street. Play complexes for children of different ages, a trampoline, swings, carousels, balance beams, and a gazebo were installed. Two workout areas were equipped for sports. The lighting of the area was also updated.
"After the renovation, the courtyard has become much cozier and safer. Now I walk here with my children every day. I am especially pleased that the area is well lit in the evening, so you can safely spend time outside," said Sabira, one of the district's residents.
Work under the "People's Participation Budget" program in the Auezov district continues. Projects are formed based on residents' proposals and are aimed at updating courtyards, children's and sports grounds.
