In Almaty, a two-story extension to a house at 140 Begalina Street is being demolished by court order, reports infohub.kz.

According to the city's urban development control department, the construction of the extension and superstructure to the residential building was carried out without an architectural planning assignment or technical project.

"Administrative measures were taken against the owner with an order to eliminate the violations. Since the order was not complied with, the department filed a lawsuit in court," the statement said.

On January 24, 2025, by decision of the Medeu District Court, the department's lawsuit to demolish the superstructure and two-story extension to the residential building was granted.

The owner began dismantling the structure voluntarily in execution of the court decision.
