In Almaty, patrol officers detained a driver who had previously been stripped of his license for driving under the influence. This time, he violated traffic rules by making a U-turn across a double solid line, reports infohub.kz.
According to the Instagram account of the Almaty Police Department, the incident occurred on Raiymbek Avenue at the intersection with Utegen Batyr Street. Patrol officers stopped the Hyundai after the driver executed a U-turn across the double solid line.
"The driver decided to make a U-turn across the double solid line right on the road. When checking his identity, it turned out that back in 2025, the man had been stripped of his driving rights for drunk driving," the police statement said.
For the repeated violation, the driver was brought to responsibility. The car was impounded.
"We remind you: losing your driver's license is a warning that could cost someone their life. Follow traffic rules and do not get behind the wheel if you are prohibited from driving," the police department emphasized.
