Almaty has ramped up enforcement of public improvement rules, issuing fines exceeding 111.9 million tenge in the first half of the year, according to infohub.kz.
The Department of Communal Infrastructure and Housing Inspection said that since the beginning of the year, legal entities have issued 8,972 improvement passports, exceeding planned targets. "The improvement passport confirms the assignment of responsibility for maintaining the adjacent territory," the department stated.
In the first six months, specialists issued nearly 5,000 oral warnings and prepared 9,679 administrative materials under Article 505 of the Code of Administrative Offenses. The total amount of fines imposed reached 111.9 million tenge.
After the resumption of the passportization campaign at the instruction of the city mayor, an additional 672 improvement passports were issued. During this period, 547 administrative materials were drawn up, and the amount of fines exceeded 12.7 million tenge.
The department emphasized that such measures are designed to increase the responsibility of property owners for maintaining adjacent areas and maintaining order in the city.
