Doctors at Almaty's City Clinical Hospital No. 7 have denied reports that a woman injured in a fatal car accident in the Alatau district is set to be discharged, reports infohub.kz.

A post on the Telegram channel "Letters to the President" claimed the injured woman was allegedly going to be released from the hospital. Medical staff said these claims are false.

"Information about the planned discharge of the patient does not correspond to reality. As of today, the question of her discharge is not being considered," the hospital said.

The medical facility reminded that the woman is undergoing treatment for injuries sustained in the accident on July 27. "The patient continues to receive necessary medical care at City Clinical Hospital No. 7 in Almaty for injuries sustained in a road traffic accident," the statement said.

According to doctors, since her admission, the patient has received all necessary examinations and treatment. "Since admission on July 27, 2026, the patient has undergone a full range of diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical procedures, including surgery," the hospital reported.

The woman is currently in a specialized department. "Her condition is assessed as stable, with positive dynamics. Postoperative wounds are healing without complications," doctors clarified.

The medical facility also said the patient is undergoing the first stage of medical rehabilitation. "Doctors continue working on her activation, restoration of motor activity, and further treatment. We can only talk about the patient's further condition and possible discharge dates after completing the necessary course of treatment and rehabilitation," the hospital emphasized.

Recall that the tragedy occurred several days ago in the Alatau district of Almaty, where two people died in the accident. The driver of a Suzuki and one of its female passengers died at the scene from their injuries. Another female passenger of the Suzuki, as well as the driver of the Mercedes, were taken to a medical facility with various injuries.
