Almaty's heating season begins on October 9, 2026, and the city akimat has published in advance the phone numbers of officials responsible for each of the eight districts, where residents can turn if faults occur, reports infohub.kz.
According to the akimat's press service, heat will be connected in stages: first to socially important facilities, then to apartment buildings and other structures.
"For the launch period, responsible specialists have been designated in each of the eight districts. Residents can call the numbers listed in the cards with questions about heating connection and if faults arise," the akimat said.
In addition to direct calls, requests are accepted through organizations servicing apartment buildings, the department's official social media pages and the e-Otinish platform. Phone numbers for each district are published in the attached post — they can be viewed by scrolling through the carousel.
It was previously reported that the start date of the heating season in Almaty is Friday, October 9, but heat will begin reaching residents' homes later. Residents were advised to check in advance that radiators and shut-off valves in their apartments are in working order.
