In Almaty, on August 14, due to the Kanye West concert, the route scheme for 32 bus and trolleybus routes will be changed. The restrictions will last eight hours, reports the website infohub.kz.

From 16:00, certain sections of several streets near the stadium will be closed to cars. The restrictions will affect Abai Avenue and Satpayev Street from Baizakov to Seifullin Avenue, as well as Baitursynov Street from Shevchenko to Timiryazev.

The city administration clarified that during the restrictions, the route schemes of 32 public transport routes will change: buses No. 3, 18, 21, 25, 30, 34, 44, 57, 62, 65, 66, 79, 90, 92, 95, 98, 118, 120, 120A, 121, 128, 130, 209, 210, 211, 224 and trolleybuses No. TP5, TP6, TP7, TP9, TP19, TP25.

Most routes will be temporarily diverted around the closed sections. For example, buses No. 3, 57, 65, 90, and 118 in the western direction will follow Seifullin Avenue, Shevchenko Street, and Mukanov Avenue. In the opposite direction, they will go via Mukanov, Zhambyl, Masanchi, Kabambai Batyr, and Nauryzbai Batyr streets.

Routes No. 18, 25, and 209 will also change their path via Shevchenko, Mukanov, and Zhambyl streets. For No. 21 and No. 211, a different detour is provided: transport will be directed via Seifullin Avenue, Abai Avenue, and Zheltoksan Street.

Some routes will have changes depending on the direction. For example, No. 44 towards the east will pass along Zhandosov, Mukanov, and Shevchenko streets, and back via Shevchenko and Manas.

Buses No. 95 and No. 121 will follow Satpayev, Zheltoksan, Timiryazev, Baizakov, and Zhandosov streets in one direction, and back via Zhandosov, Manas, Timiryazev, Zheltoksan, and Satpayev.

Changes will also affect routes No. 98, 120, 120A, 128, 130, 210, and 224. They will also be directed along detour streets for the period of restrictions.

Trolleybuses will also adjust their routes. For example, No. TP5 will pass along Abai Avenue, Auezov and Gogol streets, and then Abylai Khan Avenue. Trolleybuses No. TP6, TP7, TP9, TP19, and TP25 will also follow temporary schemes.

The city administration asked passengers to take the changes into account when planning trips. "We ask public transport passengers to plan their trips in advance, take into account temporary changes in route schemes and possible increases in travel time," the statement said.

All restrictions and route changes will be in effect on August 14 from 16:00 to 00:00.
