To celebrate its first anniversary, the museum will offer free admission on September 12 from 11:00 to 21:00. Visitors can enjoy art activities, workshops, a performance, and a musical show, reports infohub.kz.
From 11:30 to 20:00, guests can take part in the art activity "Wishes for the Museum." Throughout the day, two Aşyq Şeberhana workshops will also be open. From 12:00 to 14:00 and 16:00 to 18:00, "Dream Exhibition" will be held, and during the same time, visitors are invited to "Ink Masterpieces."
From 14:30 to 16:30, an art performance by Said Atabekov and Arystanbek Shalbaev will take place. The program will conclude with a performance by the ethno-fusion band "Roksonaki" with electronic elements. The concert will run from 17:00 to 20:30.
Additionally, on September 8, the Almaty Museum of Arts opened the exhibition "Mүсіндер: Sculpture of Kazakhstan from the 1950s to the Present." Also, from September 12 to October 12, the Al-Farabi auditorium will screen the 24-hour video installation "The Clock" by American artist Christian Marclay. Recall that the Almaty Museum of Arts officially opened its doors to visitors on September 12, 2025. The first contemporary art museum in Central Asia was founded by collector and philanthropist Nurlan Smagulov. The building was designed by the British architectural firm Chapman Taylor, and construction began in 2022.
