This year, 35 projects under the 'People's Participation Budget' program are being implemented in Almaty's Nauryzbai District, aimed at creating a comfortable and modern urban environment, reports infohub.kz.

These projects include the construction of public spaces and playgrounds, installation of outdoor lighting and sidewalks, improvement of pedestrian zones, vertical greening, greening of overhead pedestrian bridges, and installation of automatic irrigation systems.

One of the completed facilities is a children's playground on Aitmatov Street. During the works, old play elements and fencing were dismantled, a new base was prepared, asphalt concrete pavement was laid, modern small architectural forms and safe tartan coating were installed. As a result, residents received a modern and safe space for children's active recreation.

Another area of improvement is vertical greening along Abai and Alatau Avenues. Here, 768 vertical greening elements with automatic irrigation systems were installed, and decorative flowering plants such as petunias and pelargoniums were planted.

Greening of overhead pedestrian bridges along Abai Avenue is also ongoing. The project involves installing flowerpots, decorative modular structures, and vertical greening systems with the planting of about 17,500 flowering plants. To date, work on installing flowerpots and decorative structures along Abai Avenue, at the Abai Avenue–Ashimov Street interchange, and on Dauletkerey Street has been completed. The installation of modular vertical greening systems on overhead pedestrian bridges has also been finished.

The implementation of the 'People's Participation Budget' projects contributes to the comprehensive development of the urban environment, raising the level of improvement, and creating comfortable public spaces for residents of the Nauryzbai District.
