A new one-hectare public space is being created in Almaty's Nauryzbai district — a park for family recreation, walks and leisure for residents of all ages, located next to the Alem park amusement park, the website infohub.kz reports.
The creation of the new recreation area was announced at a briefing of the regional communications service by Nazira Togizbayeva, akim of Nauryzbai district.
Particular attention in the project is given to landscaping. The park grounds have been planted with 200 large trees and 85 coniferous trees, about 30,000 shrubs, as well as 1,500 roses.
For the convenience of residents, pedestrian paths, benches and a lighting system are provided. The green spaces will receive regular care thanks to an automated irrigation system.
The new recreation area also features a fountain, a "Family" composition, pergolas and a children's playground. The space will thus be designed both for family recreation and for walks and quiet relaxation.
The implementation of the project will create an additional landscaped recreation area in Nauryzbai district and increase the number of green public spaces for residents. The park's construction is currently in its final stage. The opening of the new recreation area for residents is planned in the near future.
