In Almaty, a woman who publicly complained about a slow police response to her call has herself become the subject of administrative proceedings. The news is reported by infohub.kz.

According to the Almaty Police Department, the woman posted a video on Instagram claiming she had called 102 several times but that a police crew took a long time to arrive. Law enforcement officials checked the circumstances of the incident.

"After the first call to 102 was received, the information was immediately forwarded to the Alatau district, and the Buran-114 crew was dispatched to the scene. According to GPS data and body-worn camera recordings, the police officers arrived at the address in a timely manner. However, no one opened the entrance door, and the caller did not answer phone calls. Police officers repeatedly tried to contact her and made repeated visits to the scene," the statement said.

Following the review, the woman was held administratively liable for spreading false information.

"Police urge citizens to take a responsible approach to social media posts and to verify the accuracy of information before accusing anyone of inaction," the department added.
