Field training has begun for first-year cadets at the Almaty Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs named after M. Yesbulatov. From August 31 to September 20, the new recruits are mastering basic skills that will serve as their first practical introduction to future service, infohub.kz reports.
For most participants, these are their first days in uniform, a new daily routine, and life under conditions close to those of active duty. Under the guidance of instructors from the departments of military and tactical-special training, as well as physical training, the cadets undergo drill, firearms, tactical, and physical training, and learn to provide first aid and act as part of a unit.
A separate block is devoted to drill training. Cadets learn to correctly execute commands, maintain formation, keep alignment, and move in step. In the first classes, they practice individual elements, gradually achieving precision and coordination of the entire unit.
"For our cadets, this is a new stage and the first days when the qualities they will need in future service begin to take shape. This year, the young people came to us from different regions of the country, and for many, the academy has become not only a new educational institution but also a completely new environment. Therefore, it is now important to help them adapt, teach them not to fear difficulties, to overcome them, and to become stronger and more disciplined. I am confident that it is precisely under such conditions that true team spirit is formed," said the head of the Almaty Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Police Colonel Kalizhan Koblandin.
This year, admission to the academy was conducted in a digital format for the first time. Candidates submitted documents and passed the main stages of selection through an electronic system, which made the process more transparent and convenient for applicants from different regions of the country.
The academy's leadership oversees the organization of the educational process and the cadets' living conditions. The head of the departmental educational institution regularly participates in formations and meets with cadets and training supervisors.
In addition to specialized classes, first-year students are getting used to a strict routine: early rising, physical exertion, duties, maintaining order, and caring for their uniforms. According to the organizers, these daily requirements are also part of the training, since discipline and responsibility for a future police officer begin with simple things.
Preparation for taking the Oath holds a special place in the program. For yesterday's schoolchildren, this is one of the first significant steps in transitioning to a new status and understanding the responsibility of a future law enforcement officer.
The oath will take place on September 26 at the Park named after 28 Panfilov Guardsmen. Everyone is welcome to attend the ceremonial event.
The field training will last until September 20. After its completion, first-year students will continue their studies in the academy's main disciplines.
