An operational and preventive measure "Law and Order" has been launched in Almaty, during which the city's police forces have been placed on an enhanced service regime, reports the website infohub.kz.
According to the Instagram account of the Almaty Police Department, a unified roll call of personnel took place on Abai Square. Supervisors checked the readiness of officers, patrol cars, and special equipment.
Police will pay special attention to streets, courtyards, and places of mass gathering. Patrols will also be intensified in other areas requiring heightened attention.
"Specific tasks have been set for the personnel: to ensure the safety of citizens, prevent offenses and crimes, and timely suppress any illegal actions," emphasized Aydin Kabduldinov.
He also urged officers not to limit themselves to reacting to already committed offenses.
"It is important not only to respond promptly to committed offenses but also to work proactively. Every officer must clearly understand their responsibility for the safety of Almaty residents and guests," said Aydin Kabduldinov.
