Since the beginning of 2026, police in Almaty have discovered more than 430 apartments offering intimate services. As a result of raids, owners have been held administratively liable, and workers have been registered, reports infohub.kz.
According to KTK TV channel, raids on rental apartments in Almaty are conducted regularly. Police find addresses through websites with advertisements that list phone numbers of women. Often neighbors themselves report the brothels.
Workers say they found the "job" online and never saw the business organizers. They do not hide the cost of services: at one establishment, the average bill starts from 55,000 tenge, and payment is even available in installments.
"We carry out this work on an ongoing basis. Since the beginning of the year, we have identified about 430 such premises, whose owners were brought to administrative responsibility under Article 450, under which fines of about 100 MCI (more than 432,000 tenge) were imposed," said Timur Nogaybayev, head of the Public Security Department of the Almaty Police Department.
In addition, 750 workers of such establishments have been registered.
