A single delivery helped Almaty police uncover a large warehouse of laughing gas, reports infohub.kz.
According to the press service of the Almaty Police Department, officers from the drug crime prevention unit detained a courier carrying a canister of nitrous oxide.
During investigative operations, officers traced the supply chain and located a warehouse where large quantities of the substance were stored.
"As a result of the operations, 685 canisters of various sizes and refilling equipment were removed from illegal circulation," the department said.
A criminal case has been opened. Police are identifying all individuals involved in organizing the illegal trafficking of the potent substance, as well as the supply and distribution channels.
