A problem zone has been identified in central Almaty, where police have been called 167 times since the beginning of the year — involving 11 nearby entertainment venues, reports infohub.kz.
The Almaty Police Department on its Instagram page named the addresses of the 11 entertainment venues that frequently require police response: 120 and 124 Nazarbayev Avenue.
For the identified violations, 257 administrative protocols have been drawn up. The heads of the establishments have also been issued orders to eliminate the causes and conditions contributing to offenses. Additionally, 11 more protocols were filed under Article 479 of the Administrative Code for failure to take necessary measures.
“This area is under special police control. We respond not only to committed offenses but also to residents' complaints about noise and public order disturbances. Owners and managers must understand that running an entertainment venue entails responsibility for safety and order in the surrounding area,” warned Timur Nogaybayev, head of the Public Safety Department of the Almaty Police.
According to him, preventive and control measures will be intensified in venues where violations are regularly recorded.
